Bryant Hawkins Sr., the 2024 TechNation Influencer of the Year, is a highly respected visionary and leader with over 30 years of experience in the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) industry. As the founder of Elevate HTM, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the creator of the globally recognized podcast HTM On The Line, Bryant is on a mission to inspire, educate, and uplift the next generation of HTM professionals while motivating and mentoring those already in the field. Bryant’s influence extends beyond traditional leadership roles, encompassing a wide range of impactful contributions.

Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Bryant graduated from McDonogh #35 Senior High School in 1990. He later attended Delgado Community College, where he earned an Associate of Science degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology in 1993. His passion for HTM runs deep and is rooted in his own experiences navigating the industry, which ultimately led him to create solutions for challenges he observed over the years.
Global Reach Through HTM On The Line
Bryant launched the HTM On The Line podcast in March 2022 to address the lack of public awareness about the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) industry and to provide motivation and mentorship for professionals in the field. Since its debut, the podcast has reached audiences across six continents, 86 countries, and 981 cities worldwide, serving as a platform for insightful discussions, industry innovation, and professional support.
The podcast’s success quickly evolved into a broader movement. Bryant has produced 143 motivational videos, developed the Tech In Touch newsletter with over 2,300 subscribers, and achieved over 50,000 article views in 2024.
Published Works: Inspiring and Educating
Bryant is the author of two impactful books. His motivational guide "Dare to Be Great" has inspired professionals across the industry, while his first children’s book, "Voices of Medical Equipment", introduces preteens to the exciting possibilities within HTM and STEM-related careers.
Elevate HTM: Bridging the Gap
In May 2024, Bryant officially founded Elevate HTM to address the awareness gap and inspire the next generation of healthcare technology management professionals. The nonprofit reaches thousands of students annually through community outreach programs, school events, and hands-on learning experiences. Bryant’s efforts aim to spark curiosity, build technical skills, and provide career pathways for students from all backgrounds.
